This year local food and beverages will be featured in the recipes. Experienced instructors will provide:
- An opportunity to sample cider from Hoity Toity Cellars, local brews from MacLean’s Ales, and delicious food from Gay Lea Foods
- An opportunity to sit down and enjoy the dishes that are created
- Several recipes to try at home
- Many food preparation and cooking tips that you can use in your own kitchen.
This year’s classes operate on Wednesdays, from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Each class is $40, or come to all 3 classes for $100.
October 7th – Instructor Hilary McPherson, and Diane Fischer from Hoity Toity Cellars will lead this evening of Hands on Cooking Classes. We will partner ciders and apples in several recipes including apple pecan salad with an apple cider vinaigrette, chicken in a calvados cream, butternut squash risotto and for dessert, apple tart tatin.
October 21st- Caterer Ellen Schmalz will be back in the Teeswater Town Hall kitchen! She will be sharing her many Gourmet Cooking tips and will lead a Demonstration Cooking Class. Several products from MacLean’s Ales will be on hand for sampling, and Ellen will be using 3 of MacLean’ s finest hand crafted brews in sauces, bread and more.
November 4th – Julie McMahon from Sugar and Spice in Teeswater will incorporate several products from Gay Lea Foods in this Hands on Cooking Class. We will prepare and enjoy several sweet and savoury dishes including, shortbread, sour cream lemon pie, and a cheese dip and more – all in time for Holiday preparations.
