Preschoolers:
Pajama Bedtime Stories – Every Tuesday: 6:45 pm
Join us for this fun preschool program where we will help you build early literacy skills with your child by reading, talking, singing and playing together. Wear your snazziest pajamas and bring your stuffed animal. Adults must stay for the program. Suitable for ages 18 months – 7.

Fancy Pants Preschool Party – Dress up in your very fanciest outfit (grown-ups too!) for this fun story time program. A (free) ticket is required so we can prepare fancy snacks! Ages 2-7

Me You & A Book Too – We have a special literacy gift for our Bruce County babies. Let us know if you missed getting one from your health care provider or hospital. Inside you’ll find lots of help starting your baby out to be a reader….including a fine-free-til-five library card!

Starling, Wearable Word Count Monitor – Now available to borrow with your library card, Starling is the first wearable tech that tracks the number of words your child speaks and hears throughout the day!

School-agers:
Builder’s Club – First Saturday in the month, stop in and try out whatever creative building materials we have that month. Ages 4+

‘Tween Scene! Make sure to register for this fun afternoon of activities, crafts & conversation happening on the last Thursday of the month after school! Suitable for Ages 8 – 12. Space is limited! Registration is required, unless otherwise noted ** Extra Tween Scene this month to make something special for Mom**

April 30-May 6 – Turn off the Screens Week – Bruce County Public Library supports Turn off the Screens Week; a program from Grey Bruce Public Health promoting active living. Stop in any time and see what’s fun & screen-free to do at your library.

May 5-12 – Canadian Children’s Book Week – We challenge you to check out a book by one of Canada’s many talented children’s authors. Try an author you may not yet know! Check our online resource, Novelist Plus K-8 for new titles from some favourite authors: Jeremy Tankard, Ashley Spires, Kathy Kacer, Jan Dolby, Eric Walters and more!!!

Adults:
Adult Book Club Meeting – last Tuesday of the month @ 2:00. Copies of the club’s current read are available at the circulation desk. During the May meeting, the group is discussing “The Juggler’s Children” by

All programs are FREE unless otherwise noted. Donations to your library are gratefully accepted. Children under 9 years old must be accompanied by an adult while in the library. Children under the age of 5 attending programs may be supervised by the library staff only during the scheduled time of the program; their caregivers must always remain in the library building.
