There is lots happening at the Teeswater Library in May!

Preschoolers:
Preschool Story Time: You asked for it, you got it! Drop-in Story time in Teeswater branch. Join us for this fun preschool program where we will help you build early literacy skills with your child by reading, talking, singing and playing together. Adults must stay for the program. Suitable for ages 18 months – 7. Registration is required, and space is limited.

Starling, Wearable Word Count Monitor – Now available to borrow with your library card, Starling is the first wearable tech that tracks the number of words your child speaks and hears throughout the day!

School-agers:
Builder’s Club – Happening on the last Saturday of the month, stop in and try out whatever creative building materials we are checking out that day. No registration required. Ages 5+

After School Club – Stop in and hang out with us after school on Wednesdays. Always something fun to do. Anything from board games and crafts, cooking and science experiments, sidewalk chalk and bubbles. Ages 7-12
April 30-May 6 – Turn off the Screens Week – Bruce County Public Library supports Turn off the Screens Week; a program from Grey Bruce Public Health promoting active living. Stop in any time and see what’s fun & screen-free to do at your library.

May 5-12 – Canadian Children’s Book Week – We challenge you to check out a book by one of Canada’s many talented children’s authors. Try an author you may not yet know! Check our online resource, Novelist Plus K-8 for new titles from some favourite authors: Jeremy Tankard, Ashley Spires, Kathy Kacer, Jan Dolby, Eric Walters and more!!!

Adults:
Adult Book Club Meeting – last Wednesday of the month @ 1:00. Copies of the club’s current read are available at the circulation desk.
The Great Teeswater Book Sale – Come out during the town-wide yard sale and grab yourself a deal! All materials left after the yard sale will be on display in the library until Friday; while they last!

All programs are FREE unless otherwise noted. Donations to your library are gratefully accepted. Children under 9 years old must be accompanied by an adult while in the library. Children under the age of 5 attending programs may be supervised by the library staff only during the scheduled time of the program; their caregivers must always remain in the library building.
