RULES OF SURVIVAL
RULES OF SURVIVAL review
Rule of Survival (RoS) is a multiplayer battle royal game, that was developed and published by NetEase Games. It is available to play on the three platforms: Android, iOS, and Microsoft Windows. Initially, it was released as a beta version in November 2017. But until October of next year, the game already had more than 230 million players worldwide.
Classic battle royal game
Rules of Survival features the classic battle royal games rules. Your task is to remain the latest person (or team) alive. It is interesting that players can choose the mode he wants to access the match. There are four regimes: Solo, Duo, Squad (the mode for four gamers), and Fireteam (allows five players to cooperate). Also, the game has two maps. The first one is Ghillie Island, that allows playing up to 120 players, and has a size of 4.8km×4.8km. The second map is much bigger. It was named Fearless Fiord. This battle map allows playing up to 300 players and has a size of 8km×8km. Also, in this map a new type of match was introduced — Blitzkrieg. It aims to make gamers clash head-on. You and other players will land only on a small defined part of the island with a backpack, pistol, and simple armor.
Besides this, users can choose what type of rewards they want to gain during the match. For example, there is Gold mode, in which you can earn gold, and Diamond mode, where you get the diamonds.
Land on the unknown island and start your fight for survival
Each round starts the same: you and other players will land on the island that lies somewhere in the ocean. Here you can find all the weapons, armors, medical kits, vehicles, and other items that you will need to survive. The RoS’s gameplay, to tell the truth, does not have any rules. You can grab whatever you want, kill other players, cheat, and do other things if you think this will help you to remain alive. Also, you can switch the mode from a third-person to a first-person perspective. As you progress, the area which you can explore will reduce in size. This increases the chance to meet other players, and, as a result, to be killed. If you do not have time to leave this zone, you will be automatically killed by the system.
After each round, the game will automatically reward you with some coins. Their amount depends on the three main factors: survival length, number of players killed by the player and your level. You can spend these coins to buy new cosmetic items for your character or on ammo.
